About Senior Travel Genie

Senior Travel Genie is owned and operated by seniors and baby boomers who love to travel. Mr.Gayland Anderson, a 1964 graduate of Texas Tech University, is the president of Senior Travel Genie. The site started in 2004 simply as Senior Genie, the place for finding coupons and information about businesses and professionals located in U.S. vacation and retirement areas.

In 2008, we decided to focus on online travel reviews, travel advice and information written for us --- seniors and baby boomers who have passed the 50+ milestone. At the time, we could find no travel web site that was senior-friendly and designed just for our generation. With this in mind, we decided to re-name the site and create Senior Travel Genie.

The re-design of the website took a full year. In January 2009, we launched the new, user-friendly Senior Travel Genie. The site is easy to navigate and allows seniors to submit travel photos, travel tips, reviews and new city destinations. To our surprise, seniors have added international destinations to the site so that we now include vacation areas located worldwide.

Our site gets even more interesting every time another travel memory is added, so send us your memories! (You know what we mean.)
