What types of payment do you take?
We accept E-check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
What is the Activation Fee?
The Activation Fee is only required for Pay-Per-Click. In order to
verify payment information and authorize account charges, our secure payment
processor requires a minimum dollar amount, which we set at $1.
Do you have a minimum commitment for advertising on your site?
Yes. We require a minimum of commitment of 180 days to advertise on
Senior Travel Genie™.
Why do you have a minimum 180-day commitment for advertising on Senior
Travel Genie™?
In order for internet advertising to be successful, Search Engines need to
find it. To be found by Search Engines, you have to be online for a
certain extended length of time. We do not want our Advertisers to
leave Senior Travel Genie™ before they have had adequate exposure with
the Search Engines.
Do you give refunds?
No. However, we give one month of free advertising if you choose the
Flat Fee annual payment.
Do you charge a fee if I update my Banner?
No. There is never a fee for updating Banners.
Do you charge a fee every time a visitor clicks on my Banner?
Yes, if you select Pay-Per-Click. When you choose Pay-Per-Click, we
charge a fee for every banner impression and a fee every time a visitor clicks
on your banner. See the
rate schedule.
Will I be able to see what my monthly fee will be for Pay-Per-Clicks?
Yes. You can see the number of billable Pay-Per-Clicks on the Traffic
page in Ad Manager.
When do you bill for Pay-Per-Clicks and Flat Rates?
We will automatically charge the total Pay-Per-Click fees to your credit card
or E-check at the end of each month's billing cycle. You will receive a
confirmation email containing the total amount charged. Flat Fee
payments are charged at the time of purchase. Recurring Monthly Flat Fee
payments are charged at the beginning of each pay cycle, depending on when you
purchased your advertisements.
When do you process payments?
Pay-Per-Click fees are processed at the end of a 1-month billing cycle.
Flat Fee payments are processed at the beginning of a billing cycle.
Renewals for annual flat fees are automatically processed every year unless
you notify us of changes.
General Questions
Do I need a web site before I can post a free ad on Senior Travel
Genie™?
Yes. In order to get a free listing on STG, you must place a back link
to us on your web site or blog. We supply the graphics for you.
Is my company's information protected against hackers?
Yes, SeniorTravelGenie.com uses the latest in encryption technology with
multiple layers of firewalls to protect your company and payment information.
What if the URL to my website changes?
Use Ad Manager to change your web site's URL for
each Listing and
Banner that you have on Senior Travel Genie™. It is simple to
delete the old URL and input the new.
Senior Travel Genie™ does not list the category that fits my
business. Can I still get a free listing?
Yes, as long as your business is similar to an existing category. We
reserve the right to remove any business that does not fit a category.
We do not permit any adult material, sexual content, political ads or
objectionable language.
My city location is not listed. Can I still get a free ad on Senior
Travel Genie™?
No. However, we will ad your city to STG if you will send us an email
with at least 2 photos depicting your city and text that describes your city
and why seniors should visit it. Text should be no more than 1,300
characters with spaces. Once we place your city online, we will notify
you by email so that you can order your free ad on Senior Travel Genie.
How do you determine which cities are posted on Senior Travel
Genie™?
We will post any city for which we receive photos and text.

What is Ad Manager?
Ad Manager is our secure online area that allows you to create, edit and
manage your Listing, Banners and coupons on Senior Travel Genie™.
It is password accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
How do I create a Listing on Senior Travel Genie™?
When you order your FREE advertising on Senior Travel Genie™, you will
select a password for the online Ad Manager. Once you log in to the
secure Ad Manager, you will be able to type in or paste the content of your
Listing. You will also be able to upload photographs, a logo, a PDF file
and Banner images, depending on your order. And, you will be able to
create coupons by typing in the coupon offer and coupon limitations
(disclaimers). Ad Manager uses your input to create a printable coupon
for Senior Travel Genie™ members.
Do I have the option of letting Senior Travel Genie™ create a
Listing for me?
No.
How often can I change the content of my Listing on Senior Travel
Genie™?
You can change content as often as you want in Ad Manager.
What if I want to change the photos on my Listing?
One of the unique advantages to advertising on Senior Travel Genie™ is
the ability to edit your ads
at no extra charge any time, day or
night. You may change your photo images, logo image and PDF file in Ad
Manager.
Will I be able to see how many times my Full Page Ad has been viewed?
Yes. You can see this when you click on Traffic in the left Menu in Ad
Manager.
Coupons
How do I create coupons?
In Ad Manager, click Listings in the left menu bar. Then click on the
link to the Listing that needs a coupon. Next, look in the
top
menu and click Coupons. Click the Add Coupon link to get started.
Input the start date and end date for the coupon. Ad Manager
automatically changes the online coupon expiration dates daily, so you can
make the ending date as far into the future as you wish. We suggest that
you create at least one default coupon to ensure that there is always an
active coupon on your Listing. To make a default coupon, place a check
in the default box. When you have finished inputting your data, click
the Add Coupon button. Ad Manager automatically arranges your
information to create a printable coupon for Senior Travel Genie™
members. To see what your coupon looks like, click the View Coupon link.
What is the difference between Daily and Weekly coupons?
A Daily coupon expires in one day, forcing the consumer to use the coupon
immediately. Weekly coupons allow the consumer one week to redeem the
coupon. We suggest that Advertisers use the Daily coupons for
high-dollar items or limited-quantity items.
Can I edit coupons to change expiration dates and offers?
Yes. You can change the start and end dates on expired coupons to
re-activate them. It is wise to create at least one default coupon to
appear online in the event that all of your coupons have expired.
How often can I change my coupons on Senior Travel Genie™?
You can change coupons as often as you want in Ad Manager. We encourage
you to monitor the popularity of each coupon and to change the offer if it is
not effective. We suggest that you use the Daily Coupon to move
high-dollar items and clearance items.
Can I create coupons in advance to be placed online on the date I
specify?
Yes, you can create an unlimited number of coupons. Simply set the start
date to the date that you want the coupon to appear online and Ad Manager will
place it online on the specified date.
Do I need to monitor my coupon expiration dates?
No. Expired coupons are automatically removed from Listings and stored
in Ad Manager.
I created 2 coupons but only one appears on my Listing.&nsbp; Why?
Only 1 Daily coupon and 1 Weekly coupon can appear on a Listing. If you
create 2 Weekly coupons, only 1 will appear. Also make sure that the
start and end dates are up-to-date on both coupons. A coupon will not
appear online if the start and end dates are out of sync.
Will I be able to see the number of times a coupon is clicked for
printing?
Yes. To see this, click Traffic in the left Menu in the Ad
Manager. The Traffic page will show you the number of times your coupon
was clicked for printing (Listing Coupon Impressions). We highly
encourage you to monitor this information to see which coupon offer works the
best for you. If a coupon offer is not working, you can change it
immediately at no cost.
Banners
How do I create banners on Senior Travel Genie™?
You cannot create a banner. You can only upload pre-existing banner
images to Ad Manager. The banner image must be in a jpeg or gif
file. Banners are 125 x 125 pixels. If your banner image is
smaller than this size, it will not fill the entire allotted area and there
will be empty space around it. If your banner image is larger than this
size, Ad Manager will automatically re-size it to fit the space when you
upload the file. To avoid white space, the banner image should be square
(each side having the same dimensions). For best results, upload your
banner already sized at 125 x 125 pixels.
What if I want to change my banner?
One of the unique advantages to advertising on Senior Travel Genie™ is
the ability to change your banner
at no extra charge any time, day or
night. You may change your Banner as often as you choose in the Ad
Manager.
What is the difference between a banner impression and a banner
click-through?
A banner
impression occurs when a banner ad is displayed on one page of
Senior Travel Genie™ (STG). A Banner
click-through occurs
when a visitor clicks on the Banner that appears on STG.
Will I be able to see how many impressions and clicks my banner has
received?
Yes. You can see this when you click on Traffic in the left Menu in Ad
Manager.
