The company named this area Paradise Valley because of the abundance of wildflowers found growing throughout. Although their idea never came to pass, the name Paradise Valley stuck.

After while, the city of Phoenix began to grow and prosper. Some people decided that Paradise Valley would be perfect for new homes. Homes began to be built, along with some high-end resorts. In 1961, Paradise Valley was incorporated.
