Mediterranean Hideaway
Dénia is a smaller town located on the little point that juts out into the Mediterranean between Valencia and Alicante. It’s a bit off the beaten path for tourists, but well worth the extra travel time. It’s about an hour by bus or car from either Alicante or Valencia.
Dénia is a port town so there are fishing boats, tourist excursion boats, and giant ferries that can take you and your rented car to the nearby Balearic islands if you want an additional adventure.
Dénia is an interesting mix of old and new and provides a variety of activities, or just a nice place to lay on the beach. There are markets and festivals regularly, with the highlight being Las Fallas in the spring.
