Horseshoe Bay Resort was founded in 1971 and is now one of the most highly sought after Texas vacation destinations. Citizens of Horseshoe Bay voted to incorporate as a Class A City under Texas law on September 10, 2005. The first Mayor and City Council were elected at a general election November 8th, 2005.
