This restaurant is in a hotel called Mansion on Forsyth Park, which is, obviously, an old mansion. But it’s updated, upscale, and gorgeous. 700 Drayton is, would you believe, a cooking school, and what you eat is what the students prepare. These students, you should know, are not just there learning to cook up a certain nice dish or two. Nooo, they are training to be chefs in fine eateries throughout the U.S. What they create is excellent, and the entrée menu is not small, perhaps a dozen items. You can choose beef, seafood, or pork – all well prepared and beautifully presented. You’ll be seated in a dining room that’s what you’d expect to find in the finest restaurant (starched white linens, candles, artistic touches, etc.) You’d pay much more if it weren’t a school.
